Once diagnosed, we cover fees specifically related to planning and carrying out cancer treatment. This includes tests, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, diagnostic imaging, consultations and prescribed medicines.
We also cover home chemotherapy where possible.
Treatment for cancer using Advanced Therapy Medical Products (ATMPs) will be covered separately from the ATMP benefit.
Repatriation gives you the option of returning to your specified country of residence or specified country of nationality, to be treated in familiar surroundings, when the treatment you need is not available nearby.
Consultations and treatment from physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors for physical therapies aimed at restoring your normal physical function.
Where it is medically necessary, this provides cover to be treated as a day-patient or in-patient, including room, board and treatment costs, related to the mental health condition. Limitations apply to Select and Premier plans.
We pay for accident-related dental treatment, and after 6 months, we cover routine treatments like fillings, root canal treatments and tooth extraction. We will also pay for major restorative work such as bridges, crowns, dental implants and dentures.
We also cover prescribed hearing aids, spectacle frames and lenses and contact lenses.
The following are covered: vaccinations which are recommended as part of the national childhood immunisation programme in the country of residency, human papilloma virus (HPV), vaccination to protect against cervical cancer, influenza (seasonal flu) vaccination.
No referrals required for your every day physical and mental healthcare needs, including consultations and treatments from doctors, specialists and psychologists.
We pay for diagnostic tests, pathology and radiology when recommended by your specialist to help diagnose or assess your condition when you are in hospital.
Pregnancy and childbirth, including complications and Caesarean sections, are covered after the mother has been on this health plan for 18 months. Limitations apply to Elite plans.
We pay for costs of the operating and recovery rooms, as well as medicines and dressings used in the operating or recovery room and during your hospital stay.
We pay costs for rehabilitation, including room, board and a combination of therapies such as physical, occupational and speech therapy after an event such as a stroke.

We pay for 30 days home nursing by a qualified nurse, to provide medical care in your home following treatment in hospital which is covered under this plan.

Where can I receive treatment abroad?
As long as it is covered by your health plan, you can have treatment at any recognised medical practitioner, hospital or clinic within your chosen area of cover.
Our plans provide you with the largest global network of over 2 million medical practitioners, giving you access to specialists all over the world. And when you use our provider network, we can settle with them directly, so you can focus on getting better.
What is medical evacuation and repatriation?
Medical evacuation is a benefit included in our plans which covers reasonable transport costs to the nearest appropriate place of treatment, where treatment required is not available locally.
Medical repatriation provides the additional option of returning to your country of nationality or country of residency, to be treated in familiar surroundings, where treatment is not available locally and medically appropriate to do so.
We have a dedicated assistance team on hand to support and arrange transportation.
Can pre-existing conditions be covered?
Pre-existing conditions could be covered, subject to meeting assessment criteria from our medical team.
When you apply for a health plan you will be asked to provide all information about any illness or injury for which you received medication, advice or treatment, or you had experienced symptoms before you become a customer.
Our medical team will review your medical history to decide the terms on which we will offer you a health plan. We may cover any pre-existing conditions, possibly for an extra premium, or decided to exclude specific pre-existing conditions or apply other restrictions to your health plan.
We will not cover any pre-existing conditions that you did not disclose in your application.
