Bupa Global holds its first African Intermediary Advisory Board in Zambia

Africa is fast becoming one of the most important regions shaping the future of global healthcare.

With rapidly evolving healthcare needs, rising customer expectations and increasing demand for more accessible and joined up care, Africa continues to be a key area of focus and investment for Bupa Global.

As markets across the continent continue to develop, there is huge potential to shape the future of international healthcare through stronger collaboration, innovation, and local partnerships.

That’s why we were delighted bring together some of our key strategic partners to host our first African Intermediary Advisory Board (IAB) in Zambia, creating space for open discussion on the future of healthcare and International Private Medical Insurance – across both emerging and established markets.

What’s clear is that healthcare expectations are changing fast. Customers are engaging earlier, more frequently, and increasingly through digital channels. Mobile-first behaviours across many African markets are reshaping expectations around access, convenience and personalised care.

As healthcare systems and customer needs continue to evolve, partnerships will play an even more important role. Sustainable growth depends on combining global expertise with deep local market understanding.

This will strengthen collaboration between insurers, intermediaries and providers for the future.

A huge thank you to our partners for your insights, openness, and commitment to helping shape the future of healthcare across Africa and the world.
