How do we move from talking about mental health at work to taking meaningful action?
That was the question at the heart of TechIsland’s HR Community Meetup in Limassol, Cyprus, where Bupa Global joined TechIsland, JAAQ, Nicos Rossos Insurance Brokers, SayGames and easyMarkets. Together, we helped drive an important discussion on one of the biggest challenges facing employers today.
We explored how organisations can move beyond good intentions and embed meaningful mental health support into company culture, through psychological safety, open conversations and the right benefits and tools.
The evening also featured a fireside chat with one of Cyprus’ most successful athletes, former professional tennis player, Marcos Baghdatis. Sharing reflections on resilience, managing pressure and the importance of support systems, he helped draw powerful parallels between the demands of elite sport and the realities of today’s working world.
"It was fantastic to be part of such a meaningful discussion with leaders who share a common goal of supporting mental health in the workplace. Events like this provide an important opportunity to exchange perspectives, challenge thinking and explore practical ways we can turn care into action for employees."
