We’ve launched a new breast diagnostic pathway in Singapore, designed to improve speed and convenience of care for customers with worrying breast symptoms. This is our first Connected Care pathway for Bupa Global customers outside of the UK, delivered in partnership with Raffles Hospital, Singapore, and is easily accessed via our customer service team, any time of the day or night.

What does this mean to customers?

We know that finding a breast symptom, such as a lump, can be a really worrying time – and being able to get those symptoms investigated quickly and easily is important. When it comes to treating cancer, early diagnosis saves lives.

That’s why we’ve introduced this new breast pathway, to provide customers with fast and convenient access to investigations, to either provide rapid reassurance or prompt diagnosis to help the customer quickly get the treatment they need.

This new pathway provides guaranteed speed of access, offering the customer a one-stop appointment within just two working days. The appointment will include an initial consultation, diagnostic tests (ultrasound and mammogram) and a breast biopsy (if required), all on the same day. Where biopsy is required, results will be available within five working days.

How to explain the new pathway to customers

  • Bupa Global now offers a Connected Care experience for customers in Singapore with worrying breast symptoms.
  • We're taking the effort and worry away by being able to guide and efficiently refer customers to this rapid access pathway. This reduces worrying wait times and gives customers fast access to investigations, and guarantees on how soon they will get results. It provides rapid reassurance, or a fast track into treatment for customers when they need it most.

What is Connected Care?

Connected Care is what sets us apart from our competitors. It’s joined up healthcare that delivers better for our customers.

It works by connecting our health clinics, hospitals, global providers, our digital healthcare app, and our integrated treatment pathways, to help provide better clinical outcomes.

  • More convenient: treatment is faster and easier to manage.
  • Better outcomes: always innovating to improve treatment pathways, including specialist centres for cancer offering a same day all-clear or onward referral for treatment.
  • Cost effective: members will follow the most clinically appropriate treatment pathway, aiming to get them well faster and reducing the risk of overtreatment.
