Private Hospital Plan

The Bupa Malta Private Hospital plan enables you to access private medical treatment in Malta, covering your hospital treatment costs for surgery and medical admissions.

The Hospital plan provides two cover options – the Premier includes cover for out-patient treatment; while the Essential excludes out-patient treatment except for scans and oncology treatment.

The plan also covers overseas treatment up to costs payable in Malta for the same / similar treatment.

Pre-authorised in-patient and day-case treatment, and out-patient scan costs are paid directly to the service provider in Malta. Overseas treatment cover is on a pay-and-claim basis.

Eligible out-patient treatment fees are reimbursed directly to your bank account.

You can extend your cover by including the Dental and Extended Care optional riders.

Essential Option

Provides full refund of eligible in-patient and day-case treatment costs in hospitals and clinics in Malta; and out-patient scans, home nursing and oncology treatment.

Premier Option

Provides full refund of eligible in-patient and day-case treatment costs in hospitals and clinics in Malta; and cover for out-patient treatment including doctor and specialist consultations, complementary treatment, therapies, diagnostic tests and scans, accidental and emergency dental treatment, and more.
