Online service enhancements

We have launched a new range of services, making it easier for our members to manage their health insurance online and adding features to our dedicated intermediary website for brokers.

Members can now benefit from a new SMS service – an industry first - that will notify them when new documents are available on our secure MembersWorld website. They can also use the site to request a second medical opinion, complete pre-populated claim forms and track the progress of their claims.

Brokers can manage their business more effectively by viewing their customers’ membership documents online. Online commission statements are also available, removing the need for Bupa Global to issue printed copies.

Go green

Bupa Global will donate £5 to CanopyCo for every broker who signs up for online commission statements before 31 March 2010. Brokers can simply sign in to IntermediaryWorld and visit the 'Update my contact details' page.

CanopyCo is a green charity which has helped us plant trees in Ecuador to offset our carbon emissions for the Ecuador Challenge, a project where Bupa employees helped build essential healthcare facilities in a remote part of Ecuador.

Further features for members

Online versions of policy documents can be downloaded, 24 hours a day, from anywhere in the world so members no longer need to carry their health insurance documents with them or wait for them to arrive by post. They can even specify a preferred address where claim reimbursements can be sent which is useful for expatriates who are frequent travellers or people with multiple addresses. Other options include the ability to check how much benefit they have remaining, how many medical provider visits they are entitled to and monitor their deductible (excess) balances.
