Bupa Flex is an international private medical insurance plan which covers out-patient treatment, in-patient treatment and day-case treatment for customers who require international medical insurance for a term between three and 11 months.

Bupa Flex is predominantly a digitally managed plan. This means that all your membership documentation is held on our secure personalised members' site - MembersWorld.

To ensure you are kept up-to-date with any news regarding your plan, and to download your important plan documentation, you must first register with MembersWorld. Once you have done this, you will be able to view documents such as your membership certificate, plan terms and conditions and your temporary membership card. We will also be able to notify you by email alerts when important documents require your attention.

Annual maximum coverage of GBP 1,000,000 / USD 1,700,000 / EUR 1,200,000

In addition to being able to manage the details of your plan, you will be able to:

  • know exactly when new documents are ready by signing up to receive SMS text alerts
  • access your documents 24 hours a day anywhere in the world
  • request pre-authorisation for your treatment
  • submit and track claims
  • apply for a second medical opinion at no extra cost
  • access our 24-hour live webchat service with experienced advisers
  • if you have purchased your plan via a broker, you can give them access to view your plan information (except claim related documents)
  • specify a preferred address for claim reimbursements - useful if you have multiple addresses or are travelling

  • Bupa Flex and Bupa Flex Plus are predominantly digital products meaning they are easily managed online via MembersWorld
  • You can set a specific start and end date (within the three to 11 month period)
  • You can claim wherever you are via our online claims facility
  • You benefit from being a Bupa Global member, giving you access to our network of hospitals
  • You are covered whilst in your home country
  • Evacuation and repatriation included
  • There is the option to extend your cover up to the 11 month maximum at any time, wherever you are

Where you apply for a Bupa Flex policy or choose to extend your policy, please note that underwriting for pre-existing conditions will occur. Please contact us for more information.
